TeamsChat
TeamsChat is a lightweight and easy-to-use Minecraft plugin that allows server operators to create and manage chat teams. Players can be added to teams, and each team has its own chat channel isolated from the global chat.
Commands
-
/team create <name> - Creates a new team with the specified name
-
/team delete <name> - Deletes the specified team and removes all its members
-
/team add <team> <player> - Adds a player to the given team
-
/team remove <team> <player> - Removes a player from the given team
-
/team list - Displays all existing teams
-
/team info <player> - Shows which team a specific player belongs to
-
/team-chat <on|off> - Enables or disables team chat plugin
Important: A player who is not assigned to a group by the operators will not be able to send messages and will instead receive the automatic message: "you don’t have a team so you can’t chat."
Staff Team
By default, a group named "Staff" is automatically created. Adding a player to this group will allow them to see all messages on the server, and any message they send will be broadcast and visible to all players.
Self-Join to Teams
The plugin includes a mode that when enabled, allows players to freely join teams without the need for staff involvement. This mode can be toggled in the config:
allow-player-join: false/true (default is false)
or by using the command:
- /team allow-join <on|off>
