SimpleAFK helps server administrators manage player inactivity by automatically detecting when players are idle for a configurable amount of time. Once a player exceeds the inactivity threshold, the plugin marks them as AFK, optionally prepends “[AFK]” to their name in the player list, and notifies server operators. If enabled, it can also automatically kick players who have been AFK for too long, helping to free up server slots. SimpleAFK updates player activity on movement, chatting, interacting, or running commands, ensuring accurate AFK detection. Operators can also use the /afkmonitor list command to view all currently AFK players. Configuration: All settings are stored in config.yml:
timeout (default 5) – Number of minutes a player can be inactive before being marked AFK.
kick (default true) – Whether to automatically kick players after exceeding the AFK timeout.
showPrefix (default true) – Whether to display “[AFK]” before the player’s name in the player list.
By default, the plugin marks players as AFK after 5 minutes of inactivity, shows the AFK prefix, and kicks them from the server if the timeout is reached.
